How to Enable or Disable Single Tab Mode in Google Chrome
In Google Chrome, you can enable or disable an experimental flag called Single-tab mode.
When enabled, active Chrome windows with only a single tab open receive a special, minimal visual treatment of having no color on the tab bar and borders making them plain white.
When disabled (default), Chrome windows with only a single tab open will show color on the tab bar and borders. In Windows 10, the Chrome tab bar and borders color will be the same accent color you selected in Windows 10 if you turned on show colors on 'Title bars and windows borders'. Otherwise, the color will be gray by default.
This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable single-tab mode for a minimal visual treatment in Google Chrome for your account in Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10.
If you set the Custom-drawn Windows 10 Titlebar flag to Disabled, this Single-tab mode flag will have no effect.
EXAMPLE: Single-tab mode enabled and disabled
Here's How:
1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Copy and paste the link below into the address bar of Chrome, and press Enter.
3. Select Default, Enabled, or Disabled for what you want in the Single-tab mode flag drop down menu. (see screenshot below)
4. Click/tap on the RELAUNCH NOW button at the bottom to apply.
That's it,
Shawn
You can no longer mute tabs in Chrome from version 64 onwards, the browser allows to mute sites only (not the individual tabs), let us see how we can do the latter.
Mute individual tabs in Chrome 64+
I. Here you can keep Site wide audio muting option and enable tab muting option, for that
1. Visit chrome://flags
2. Search for ‘Tab Audio muting UI control’ flag or visit chrome://flags/#enable-tab-audio-muting
3. Select ‘Enabled’ and Restart the browser.
Now you can able to mute a tab that is playing audio by clicking on volume icon.
You should also note Tab Context menu still shows ‘Site Mute’ option, but not ‘Tab Mute’, if you want the latter back, you’ve to disable Site muting, here is how that can be done. Dowload do refrao musica shallow lady gaga lyrics.

In Google Chrome, can I mute sound in a single tab? Suppose a tab has a youtube video that I would like to silence. However, I still want to hear the audio from another tab.

There is an extension for that (sort of): https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nmkbaaijgpppbokgnhhoakihofedkgcc
it's okay in that it works most of the time. however chrome still uses a shared instance of flash (for example) in order to run faster, but it makes it very difficult to stop one part of that shared instance. IE (ugh) opens a new instance per tab, and you can mute individual tabs. you can give this a spin, but as far as I know it's as good as you'll get.

With more and more websites using autoplay video -- present company included -- now is a good time to review how to mute the audio playing in one of your many open browser tabs. I'll cover the different ways you can mute tabs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Safari. The big news in browser tab muting is that with Windows 10 Spring 2018 Update, Microsoft's Edge browser finally lets you mute tabs with a single click -- among other Edge improvements. Meanwhile, there is good news on the web-browsing horizon because password-free web security is coming to Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
Chrome
Google's browser displays a little speaker icon on any tab that is currently playing audio. To mute the audio for a tab, right-click the tab and choose Mute site. You can perform this maneuver without leaving your current tab.
Edge
Chrome Tab Mute Not Working
Microsoft's browser finally has joined the tab-muting party. With the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, Edge now lets you click the speaker icon of a noisy tab to mute it. You can do this on your current tab and also on background tabs without leaving your current tab. You can also right-click the tab and choose Mute Tab.
Firefox
Firefox displays a speaker icon on the tab making noise, and you can click it to mute the audio of that tab without switching to it. You can also right-click the tab and choose Mute Tab.
Opera
Opera offers the best way to mute browser tabs, particularly if you have more than one background tab that has started playing audio. Just right-click your current tab and click Mute other tabs. You can also click the speaker icon to mute background tabs or right-click a tab and choose Mute tab. Opera displays a small, audio-levels icon for tabs that are playing audio, and then it switches to a speaker icon when you mouse over a tab.
Safari
Mute A Tab In Chrome
Safari offers the same two tab muting options as Firefox and Edge; you can just click the speaker icon to mute a tab or right-click and choose Mute ThisTab. In addition, Safari offers a blue speaker icon in its URL bar, which you can click to mercifully mute all tabs when you have rogue tabs playing audio in the background.
